​Senior Quantity Surveyor - [Barking]

An outstanding construction company in Barking is looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to ensure that projects are meeting deadlines and operations are running smoothly throughout new and existing projects.

About the role / project / company

My client is a family owned main contractor, with a team based management structure and long serving members of staff retaining knowledge and expertise within the company. They are a medium sized contractor, but are big enough to offer a comprehensive range of services but not so large as to lose touch with our clients’ needs and aspirations.

Duties of the role:

• Exposure to the full project lifestyle with involvement across pre constrcusion through to project delivery.

• Managing commercial aspect of subcontract accounts and client final accounts

• Attend monthly CVR meetings

• Commercial admin and management of several live projects and projects at preconstruction phase.

• Management and control of sub contract orders

• Post tender, internal and external pricing analysis/assessment for sign off whilst ensuring within budget

The ideal candidate

• HNC qualification or above in Quantity Surveyoing or similar

• Strong history as a QS

• Experience managing a team

• Commerical acumen

• Excellent negotiation skills

• Experience and willing to train junior staff

• Numeracy and verbal communication skills

Benefits:

• Salary of £65,000
